SDS sikkerhedsdatablade ApS notifies substances and products so that a PR number can be issued.

We notify to the Danish Digital Product Registry on behalf of Danish importers and manufacturers as well as foreign companies exporting to Denmark.

We also notify to the Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish product registers.

Note: New Digital Product Register opens on April 1, 2017.

Please note that notification is mandatory if the following criteria are met:

If you, as a company, manufacture, import, or change trade names of hazardous chemical substances in quantities ranging from 100 kg to 1000 kg per year or materials in quantities of 100 kg per year used commercially, you have a duty to notify to the Product Register.

Companies must notify the following substances and materials to the Product Registry (based on WEA’s definition of hazardous):

Substances and materials that must be classified as hazardous in accordance with the CLP Regulation.

Substances and materials included with a limit value in the WEA Executive Order on Limit Values for Substances and Materials (exposure limit in Denmark).

Materials that contain 1% or more of a substance that is included with a limit value in the WEA Executive Order on Limit Values for Substances and Materials.  For gaseous materials, the limit value is 0.2 pct.

Other substances and materials which are subject to the requirements of a safety data sheet in the REACH Regulation.

Substances and materials that do not need to be notified to the Product Registry:

You do not need to register the following substances and materials in the Product Registry:

Articles such as thermometers and plastic buckets.

Substances and materials that are only used by private consumers.

Substances and materials imported/manufactured in quantities of less than 100 kg per year.

Food, beverages, and other products ready for consumption.

Medicinal products ready for consumption.

Animal feed.

Cosmetics.

Waste.

Substances and materials containing radioactive substances.

Medical devices to be used in direct contact with the human body, provided that other legislation lay down requirements regarding the device.

Substances and materials that are manufactured or imported solely for research purposes in quantities of less than 1,000 kilos for use by only a few individuals.

Substances and materials that are only in transit in Denmark.

The company that manufactures or imports the products for commercial use is required to notify the product or substance no later than one month from the beginning of manufacture or import.

Note that it is necessary to know the exact content of substances in order to notify. This information is not always easily accessible, and so it is also possible for foreign manufacturers to notify directly in case they do not wish this information to be released.

As can be seen, there are many products that require notification. SDS sikkerhedsdatablade ApS has been created as a consultant to notify on behalf of companies, so you can safely leave it to us.
